Regional Traffic Management Center (RTMC) Corridor View Select corridor from below to view a real time comparison of performance measures across the corridor with trend and historic information.
Each chart contains three time periods to observe changes in trends. The time periods are as follows:
5 Minute - Near Real Time
15 Minute - The past 5-20 minutes
2 Week - Past two weeks within a 15 minute of current time period. For example, if it is Thursday at 4:30 the 2 week represents the past 2 Thursdays from 4:15 to 4:45
Please Note: Performane Measures visible on the RTMC Corridor View are based on reported probe data. Some fluctuations in metrics, including travel time, may appear adjusted based on the underlying roadway segmentation being reported.
The measures available consist of the following:
Speed - Average Speed reported over the time period. These speeds are provided and represent the average speed from probe data on the corridor.
Congestion Indicator (Jam) - Congestion or Jam Factor is an indicator of the level of congestion the corridor is experiencing. Values range from 0 to 10 with 0 representing a roadway at freeflow with no interuptions and 10 being a roadway that is closed
Travel Time - Representative of a calculated performance metric from the avaialble probe data. Travel time is Length of Segment/Average Speed multiplied by 60 to represent minutes. This performance measure may vary as it is based on teh calculated value from the probe dataset. It is recommended to use the trend and historic as an indication that something has changed within the corridor.
Travel Time Index (TTI) - TTI represents the variation in the reported travel time against the freeflow travel time. This metric is calculated as Travel Time (reported) / Travel Time (freeflow).
